Often, it may be efficient to create a new requisition by copying and changing an existing similar requisition. You can copy a requisition, and once it is copied, edit it to change or add information before submitting it for approval.
To access organization, department, or asset location data, the organization, department, or asset location must be included in your data profile.
The "Requisitions" role object controls access to requisition display and copying. For the Requisitions - All Depts list, the minimum setting is Create for users to copy a requisition. For the Requisitions - Current Departments list, the minimum setting to copy a requisition is View.
From the Materials Management main Contents, select Requisitioning > Requisitions - Current Dept. The Quick Click menu appears.
Note: You can also copy requisitions by selecting Requisitioning > Requisitions - All Depts, but you must specify a department on the Quick Click menu, and then choose a requisition from a list for that department.
Note: Be sure to select the Copy All Notes field on the General tab if you wish to copy any notes associated with the requisition.
Click Submit. The system copies your requisition and sends a message that tells you the number of lines copied and the new Requisition Number.
On the Requisitions list, click Refresh. The copy of the requisition appears, along with the word Copy in the Description field.
Follow the normal procedure to submit your requisition for approval.
